Advantage and Frontline are the best flea medications to give your pet, but they only kill adult fleas when they bite you are cat or dog and ingest the pesticide contained in the medication.
There are still, however, adult fleas lurking in the carpeting and furniture of your home, as well as flea eggs in the blog made that are still waiting to hatch.
So there still may be times when you may spot fleas on your cat or dog while on these medications, but they will quickly be killed as soon as they bite which is usually very quickly after locating their host.
This is especially true after you take your dog for a walk through a grassy common area which may already be infested with fleas that can jump on your pet.
Don’t worry, however, because these fleas should be killed in short order by the flea medication.
