The most effective way to kill a flea infestation is to give modern flea medication to your pets that live in the home. Many people find that that is all they need to do in order to get their flea problem under control.
But there are also some other tools at your disposal, such as flea bombs. Sometimes referred to as foggers, these products can kill fleas in all four stages of their life cycle on contact. Each flea bomb can successfully treat a large room, and many are packaged with several per container in order to treat a larger apartment or house.
It is important that all humans and pets remain outside of the home after the fogger is activated because the chemicals are toxic and should not be breathed directly.
It takes about three hours for the room to be treated and then the room should be thoroughly ventilated with open windows and fans, if possible. Make sure to choose a flea bomb that has a pleasant and not overpowering scent, as well.
