We have heard some people report that they have tried to use baby powder or talcum powder to kill fleas on the dog or cat, with varied success.
We don’t recommend using these products, however, because there really is simply no need to. There are many flea powders that have been specifically designed for this purpose and are much more effective than baby powder.
We recommend using a flea shampoo to give your dog or cat a good flea bath, and then apply a flea powder to its skin for extra protection.
Of course, you must also be sure to give your dog flea medicine such as Frontline so that the flea population that is tormenting him can be eliminated.
