The population of Pattaya fluctuates significantly during the different seasons. During the high season, it is estimated that over 300,000 people live in the city. During low season, it can be roughly half of that. High season is during the winter in the northern hemisphere, and lasts from roughly December through April.
Pattaya is spatially compact in that is does not spread great distances, but it is very densely populated and has the feel of a larger city. Many things are within walking distance, depending upon where you live, of course. And everything in Pattaya is within a short motorbike drive away.
