Avocado is known for its beneficial qualities for skin, and has been used as an active ingredient in cosmetic products for years because of this. Facial masks utilizing avocado are also in vogue, as the high natural oil content of the fruit has a wonderful moisturizing effect upon the skin and hair.

Avocado is alkaline rather than acidic, and acidic fruit juices such as lemon and lime, can be applied to the skin in order to combat the bacteria which causes acne. If you suffer from acne, you shouldn’t worry about causing a flareup by applying avocado or avocado oil to your face her skin.
