Does Frontline Work on Humans?

Frontline flea medication should not be applied directly to humans. It is a human carcinogen and can also cause skin irritation.

The medicine works on dogs and cats because their skin is covered with hair which absorbs the pesticide in Frontline.

The product is not absorbed into the body but is rather spread across the skin of the animal. Because humans do not have fur, it will not be effective for killing fleas on humans.

There is no reason or need to apply Frontline to a person, anyways, because the fleas are attracted to host animals and humans are almost always secondary targets to their primary host.

So by treating your dog or cat with flea medication you will be able to effectively kill a flea infestation, without having to actually take the medication yourself.
