How to Get Rid of Flea Dirt?

Flea dirt is the dried blood and feces of adult fleas, which are the remnants of a flea infestation that can be found on your pets and around your home.

The best way to get rid of flea dirt from the skin of your cat or dog is to use a flea comb. The fine teeth of the flea comb will filter out any flea dirt, eggs, or adult fleas.

You may also give your cat a bath using flea shampoo, which will also help to wash away the flea dirt.

Any bed linens and clothing that show traces of flea dirt should be washed in very hot water with detergent and liquid bleach.

Carpeting around the home should be vacuumed thoroughly, and it is a good idea to freeze the vacuum bag or throw it away when you’re finished.
