Yes, Ajax or any other kind of dish soap or detergent will kill fleas and can be used if you’re in a pinch, but it is not a viable long-term solution for flea control.
You can give your dog a bath in water with a dash of Ajax, but make sure it is heavily diluted because it can cause allergies and skin reactions in some dogs, and make sure you don’t get it in his eyes.
You will get much better results, however, from using a quality flea shampoo rather than Ajax.
Be sure to also get your pets on monthly flea medications such as Frontline, and you most likely won’t need to use any other forms of flea killer.
