Hydrogen peroxide, or bleach, will kill adult fleas and all other stages of the flea life cycle including flea eggs and larva.
It is advised that you wash clothes and bed linens that are infested with fleas in hot water mixed with hydrogen peroxide, in order to kill the parasites.
If you have tile or hardwood floors in your home, it is also a good idea to wash them frequently with a diluted hydrogen peroxide solution.
Do not use hydrogen peroxide directly on a cat or dog, because the solution can cause skin and eye irritation.
Instead, give your pets a bath with a high quality flea shampoo, and treat them with the more recommended flea control products for animals.
