Sevin Dust for Fleas on Dogs?

Sevin dust is a pesticide that comes in a white crystalline form and is marketed as Sevin, a product of the Bayer company.

It is most well known as an outdoor pesticide mainly used to treat gardens and lawns, but some people also use it on their dogs is a form of flea and tick control.

We recommend that you do not use Sevin dust directly on dogs or cats, or inside the home because of its toxicity to mammals, including humans, cats, and dogs.

In fact, the Environmental Protection Agency has classified Sevin dust as a likely human carcinogen.

For this reason, only use the product outdoors and never directly on your pet for flea control. There are many other safer products to choose from.
