Fleas prefer temperatures between 70°F and 85°F and a relative humidity above 70%. Therefore, in most areas of the United States flea populations are most active during the summer months.
But in many areas of the world where it is hot and humid year-round, fleas will not have a dormant season and all four stages of their life cycle will be active year-round.
