Turning on the air conditioning in your home will lower the humidity levels in the air, which can make flea infestations become less active.
Fleas thrive in relative humidity levels above 70% and temperatures above 70°F, so keeping your air conditioner going 24 hours a day can reduce flea activity, to an extent.
Air-conditioning will not get rid of a flea infestation in and of itself, however, because flea pupa can lay dormant for months or even years in the carpeting and other hiding places in your home, only to emerge later when environmental conditions are more conducive.
You will get much better results from using flea medicine for your pets and other conventional insecticides in order to control fleas. Please reference my complete list of flea control products for more information on your options.
