Mosquitoes often bite in clusters, in which you will see a line or a ring of mosquito bites all located in one central area.

This is due to the fact that when a mosquito finds a host from which to obtain blood, it will generally continue biting that animal multiple times until it has ingested its full capacity of blood.

In addition, if a mosquito bites one location of the body where it is not receiving adequate blood flow, it may bite and adjacent area of the body as an alternative.

This leads to mosquito bites often times being clustered together on the skin, which can cause extreme itching and irritation on that part of the body.
