If you have a flea infestation in your bed, then you know how miserable it can be. There are several things that you can do to eradicate the infestation and sleep freely again.
First, you will want to wash your sheets and bedding in very hot water and use a generous amount of detergent with a dash of liquid bleach. This will kill any flea eggs or larvae that are hidden and attached to your linens.
Spread a flea killing powder such as diatomaceous earth on the floor in the room and specifically around the area where your bed is. This powder will dehydrate fleas and will kill them in all stages of their life cycle.
If you want to go thermonuclear on the fleas, you can also use a professional aerosol flea spray to treat your bedding and surrounding areas.
Additionally, make sure that any cats or dogs live in your home are being treated with a flea medication such as Frontline.
